Coach Wirch has been coaching at Tremper High School since 1993. During this time the team has won 8 Conference Championships, 7 Sectional titles and has had multiple top 10 state teams. The team has won the district award for highest G.P.A. for a sport in 1997 and consistently ranks in the top three in the district in academics. Wirch is a graduate of Tremper High School, a two time state qualifier and was the captain on two Conference + Sectional Championship teams. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Parkside in Pre-Medicine and is currently employed as a high school Biology teacher for the Kenosha Unified School District.
